Kansas City Chiefs: Six star performances vs Bills in Week 6
5. Wilson
Damien Wilson has played decently this season and he did his part in helping stop the Bills from running the ball (though to be fair, they did go away from it once they started trailing by double digits). Wilson finished the game with seven tackles, which led the Chiefs in this match-up.
The linebackers haven’t been great this season, but Wilson and Anthony Hitchens have looked much improved and that’s a good sign. The defense as a whole played pretty well, but Wilson gets the spot on the list because of his team-leading seven tackles.
4. Kilgore
Not many people had probably heard of Daniel Kilgore prior to this game, but he got the start at center and played really, really well. There was a bad snap at the beginning of the game that Patrick Mahomes was able to recover, but other than that, Kilgore and the interior o-line dominated the line of scrimmage.
Joe Buck and Troy Aikman were raving about Kilgore throughout, giving him props for stepping into a starting role and doing well. He didn’t just do well, he crushed it at the center position. The Chiefs should not go back to Austin Reiter after how well Kilgore performed on Monday. This was the kind of performance the Chiefs o-line needed after some shaky outings this season.
3. Robinson
Trey Donovan of KC Kingdom wrote that Demarcus Robinson needed to have a good game in this match-up with Buffalo and Robinson delivered! He finished the afternoon with five catches for 69 yards, which led the Chiefs.
It was really important for the Chiefs to get some help from their other wide receivers, as Sammy Watkins wouldn’t be suiting up for this game, so to see both Robinson and Pringle step up and make plays was good to see. If Robinson doesn’t have this kind of a game, the Chiefs might not win this one.
