The Kansas City Chiefs host the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, so let’s get to know the bad guys ahead of this week’s game.

The Kansas City Chiefs will have a chance to move to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the AFC West this Sunday afternoon when they face the Las Vegas Raiders, who are 2-2 on the year and have yet to play against a divisional foe to this point. It should be a fun game between two bitter rivals and to get to know the Raiders better, I reached out to Brad Weiss of Just Blog Baby, FanSided’s site dedicated to the Raiders. Let’s see what Brad had to say about his squad.

1) How has the move to Las Vegas been perceived overall?

“There is a lot of excitement with the move to Las Vegas, and the city has really taken to the team. There are Raiders bars all over, and once the world goes back to normal, I think you will see it really become home. As for Oakland, that was certainly a sad day when the Raiders moved, but the fan base is strong, and they have not abandoned the team just because of the move. In fact, Raider Nation is as strong as ever, and now they finally have the state of the art field and headquarters they wanted to build in Oakland.”

2) What were fans’ expectations for the Raiders heading into the season?

“The expectations were that the team would make the next step forward and make it back to the playoffs for the second time since the 2002 season. After winning four games in 2018, and then seven last year, a nine-win season and possibly a Wild Card was the thought. Of course, Kansas City is going to win the AFC West in all likelihood, but the Raiders had enough talent heading into the season to be considered a legitimate playoff contender.”

3) What are fans’ expectations now after having seen the team in action for a month?

“I think it is still that the Raiders fans feel this is a playoff team. The early season schedule has been a tough one for the Silver and Black, and it gets a bit easier after the bye week in Week 6. They have to play Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who look beatable, and looking at the rest of the schedule, there is reason to believe that a nine-win season is still in the cards.”
