Week 16 – Kansas City Chiefs vs Atlanta Falcons (Chris)

The playoff seeding will likely be taking shape with the Chiefs in one of the top two spots. Unless there’s a dramatic turn around for the Falcons in 2020, Dan Quinn’s may not even be the Falcons’ head coach by Week 16.

The Falcons have some very capable pieces, but likely won’t be putting it all out there unless they’re somehow vying for the playoffs. If there’s a chance for Kansas City to take the top playoff spot, they’ll have their foot on the gas to earn that first-round bye.

The Chiefs’ young cornerback group will hopefully have gained some good experience by Week 16. They’ll need it when facing quarterback Matt Ryan and receivers Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley. This game will, fortunately, be played at Arrowhead, which keeps that crew from playing in their cozy little dome in Atlanta.

The big question isn’t whether or not the Chiefs will win, but if Tony Gonzalez will be sad when the team that “made his career” loses.

Prediction: Kansas City will handle business at home just before the playoffs and send Atlanta home with a 24-17 loss.

Player to Pop: Fueled by all the praise for Julio Jones, Tyreek Hill will make a statement to become the top receiver in football with three scores and 140 receiving yards.

RECORD: 11-4
