Ranking Every Quarterback in 2020 – Number 7: Josh Allen

16. . Quarterback. Buffalo Bills. Josh Allen. 7. player

Josh Allen was a bit of a surprise when the 2018 NFL Draft neared, as he was grouped in with the potential first round quarterbacks. His stats at Wyoming weren’t anything special, but the analysts noted that his arm and (not even joking) hand size were what made him a first round talent.

The Bills went all in for Allen, taking him seventh overall and never looking back. Allen was okay as a rookie, but people questioned if his playing style would allow him to make it through an entire season without getting injured. He answered those people in year two, starting all 16 regular season games as well as the Bills’ playoff game.

Allen finished the season with 3,089 yards, 20 touchdowns, and nine picks while rushing for another 510 yards and nine touchdowns, giving him 29 total touchdowns in 2019.

Allen’s ability to take off with the football is what put him high on this list because the Chiefs have had issues with mobile quarterbacks in the past. Throw in that they’ll face him in Buffalo on Thursday Night Football in week six and Josh Allen could be a tougher adversary than what Chiefs fans are anticipating.
