Ranking Every Quarterback in 2020 – Number 3: Deshaun Watson

10. . Quarterback. Houston Texans. Deshaun Watson. 3. player

The first quarterback the Chiefs will face in the 2020 season is Texans signal caller Deshaun Watson, who will always be linked with Patrick Mahomes due to both of them being first round picks in the 2017 NFL Draft.

The Chiefs obviously went with Mahomes while Watson was left for the picking when the Texans grabbed him not long after. Both guys have gone on to do well for their respective teams, but Mahomes has the edge, winning a Super Bowl while taking down Watson and his Texans along the way in the Divisional Round.

Watson is tremendously talented and no matter what Chiefs fans say, a lot of them wanted him in 2017 when it looked like the Chiefs were poised to take a quarterback that year. He can throw the ball well and run with it as well, making him a dual-threat signal caller.

The Chiefs open up the year against Watson and the Texans and if anything thinks that Deshaun Watson won’t put up big numbers in that game, they’re mistaken. He’ll play well, but the Chiefs will play better. Fortunately, they get him out of the way early on, but I’m sure a rematch will occur at some point in the postseason.
