Chiefs News: ‘Keep Patrick Mahomes safe’ masks all the rage in KC
Chiefs news revolves around how there are masks being sold in Kansas City encouraging people to keep Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes safe this offseason.
RAYGUN – a quirky shop in Kansas City known for selling comical t-shirts, hats, and other fun apparel – has decided to start selling masks that will encourage people in Kansas City to wear masks when they go out. The masks say “Keep Patrick Mahomes safe” and it’s a good message for diehard Kansas City Chiefs fans to take this pandemic more seriously.
RAYGUN tweeted about their new creation by mentioning that if Mahomes were to get COVID-19, a Super Bowl repeat wouldn’t be possible for the Kansas City Chiefs. That’s the case with anyone on the team, but with Mahomes being the quarterback and therefore being the face of the franchise, he’s obviously going to be the focal point here.
The masks are cool looking and with Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas announcing that masks or face coverings were required in public settings beginning this week, those who don’t have any type of face covering can wear these and help do their part.

It’s no secret that there’s a large portion of people who don’t want to wear masks, but now they’re required. No, wearing a mask everywhere isn’t comfortable, but it’s hopefully going to help contain COVID-19 and the sooner we all start wearing masks, the sooner we can stop wearing masks.
These Patrick Mahomes masks are a fun idea because not only does it spread a positive message, but for those who might still be on the fence about the whole mask idea, it can let them support their favorite quarterback while also hoping to save some lives in the process.
Another cool part about RAYGUN’s masks is that 35% of the profits from the masks will be donated to charity and local food banks. So not only will you get to wear a sharp mask with a positive message, but your money is going to good use.
Be safe and wear a mask!
