KC Chiefs: Colin Cowherd continues to disrespect Patrick Mahomes

Everyone knows Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the NFL (or at least one of the best), but Colin Cowherd never wants to give the KC Chiefs quarterback the respect he’s earned.

For those who still listen and/or watch Colin Cowherd’s radio show, you’ll know that he definitely goes for the “outside the box” opinion and also wants to agitate his listeners/viewers with his comments and opinions. The Kansas City Chiefs tend to be on his list when it comes to trying to frustrate people.

Well, the latest to throw into the “What the heck is Cowherd talking about” category is when he ranked his top five when it comes to quarterback arm talent and somehow omitted Patrick Mahomes from the list.

That’s right – On a list of quarterbacks based on pure arm talent, Cowherd left off the reigning Super Bowl champion who time and time again has displayed just how strong of an arm he has. The dude once threw a pigskin all the way out of Arrowhead Stadium (not in an actual game, of course, but still)!

As you can see in the tweet above, Cowherd’s top five were Russell Wilson, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Kyler Murray, and Jared Goff. Okay, no disrespect to the six-time Super Bowl champion, but Brady’s arm talent is not top five caliber. It’s not even top ten caliber. IT’S CERTAINLY NOT BETTER THAN PATRICK MAHOMES’.

All of these quarterbacks are talented no doubt, but none of them have the arm talent that Mahomes possesses.

This isn’t the first time Cowherd has dissed Mahomes and the Chiefs, as earlier this month, he said Broncos quarterback Drew Lock could have a chance to win the league MVP and also picked the Broncos to win the AFC West. Is this guy watching the same league as the rest of us? It sure doesn’t seem like it.

When it comes down to it, this is just one person’s opinion and there’s really no reason to be bothered by it, but Cowherd is annoying so it’s easier to get fired up by his comments. If it doesn’t have to do with the Cowboys, Tom Brady, or Lebron James, then Cowherd really doesn’t care about it and unfortunately the Kansas City Chiefs fall into that category.

The Chiefs used to constantly get disrespected by analysts everywhere and winning the Super Bowl finally made people give them the respect they deserve, but Colin Cowherd didn’t get the memo apparently.
