EVEN BETTER KC CHIEFS OFFENSE – NUMBER 2: CLYDE-EDWARDS HELAIRE

As good as the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense was last year, their run game was something that held them back. If they needed a key third down in a tight game, it wasn’t always a guarantee they’d get that coveted first down.

With first round rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire joining the team, that’s hopefully about to change.

Not only was CEH a tremendous runner at LSU (1,414 yards with 16 touchdowns) during the 2019 National Championship season, but he was effective as a pass catcher too. CEH grabbed 55 receptions for 453 yards and found the end zone once through the air.

Even though Damien Williams had himself a heck of a game in Super Bowl LIV, he proved throughout the course of the regular season that he’s not the most dependable option at RB1. He’s injured and inconsistent and the Chiefs were wise to add another running back to the backfield.

The Chiefs offense was good without a decent run game, so just imagine how even more electric they’re going to be with one of the most ferocious running backs in college football joining their offense.
