I tried not to pick the first rounder for each team, but in some cases those were the best picks. The Broncos’ selection of Jerry Jeudy was one they had to make because they needed more weapons for Lock. The Chargers trading up and drafting Kenneth Murray was also a big pick for them and he gives them a nice tool on an already stacked defense.
The Raiders’ two first round picks weren’t my choices for this piece, as I actually went with their fourth round selection of Amik Robertson. Maybe Robertson goes on to be nothing more than a depth piece, but right now, he stands out amongst this year’s draft class.
The Chiefs’ first round pick of Clyde Edwards-Helaire was a good pick for them, but taking a running back in round one is risky. That’s why I ultimately went with Lucas Niang here because he filled a position of need and was taken later on in the draft to boot.
