KC Chiefs news revolves around how First Things First debated if the Kansas City Chiefs could be the next dynasty in the NFL. It does appear that if one team could be a dynasty in the 2020s, the Chiefs would be that team.

The Kansas City Chiefs were the first team to win a Super Bowl in the 2020s and that makes them the obvious pick to be considered the next big dynasty in the National Football League. First Things First debated this very topic on Thursday and had the Chiefs being the most likely team to be the next dynasty.

As Nick Wright noted in the segment, having a dynasty in any sport is tough to do, but if any team is going to pull off that feat, it’d be the Kansas City Chiefs. It’s hard to argue with him there, as they’re the reigning champions.

With the Patriots’ dynasty coming to an end last season, it only makes sense that this is a topic of conversation. Dynasties in the NFL have gone on for decades now with the Patriots owning the 2010s and 2000s, the Cowboys owning the 90s, the 49ers owning the 80s, and the Steelers owning the 70s.

None of us know the answer to this obviously and we won’t until this decade is over. There’s also a chance that no dynasty arises in the 2020s.

"Wright is correct: at this moment, no NFL team is better-positioned to succeed than the Chiefs. But just like the Seahawks in 2006, just being good enough to repeat isn’t enough. You actually have to get it done. And now with one fewer playoff bye available, it makes it all the more important to secure it."

The Chiefs are set up nicely to win for the next decade because of their quarterback. When teams find their franchise quarterback, it puts them in a nice position to win for the next decade. They also have a lot of talented players who are under contract for several more years.

After last season, the only AFC team better than the Chiefs in the regular season was the Baltimore Ravens, who only lost two games and held the number one seed in the AFC. When push came to shove, however, the Ravens were one and done and the Chiefs went on the punch their ticket to the Super Bowl.

With the Chiefs being the only team to win a championship in this decade, that puts them as the obvious choice as to who could be the dynasty for the 2020s. They’re set up well to do so, but sometimes the ball doesn’t bounce your way (as Chiefs fans knew all too well until this past season), making it possible for anything to happen.

Do you think the Chiefs could be the next great dynasty?
