Kansas City Chiefs: Five games that should be in primetime in 2020
NUMBER TWO: BALTIMORE RAVENS
The Baltimore Ravens lost just two games during the course of the 2019 regular season and one of those two losses came at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs. Baltimore went on to hold the top seed in the AFC, but were upset by the Titans in blowout fashion.
For the first time in his career, Lamar Jackson would get the Chiefs on home turf and that should help him after he’s fallen to 0-2 against Kansas City. Mahomes vs Jackson would give us a great quarterback match-up and the offenses are two of the best in the league for two different reasons with the Chiefs passing attack and the Ravens running the ball down their opponents throats.
This game has Sunday Night Football written all over it.
NUMBER ONE: NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
We had a chance to see this match-up in the Super Bowl in the 2018 season, but the Chiefs defense couldn’t stop the Patriots on three straight third downs and the Saints were robbed of a chance to go to the Super Bowl. Now, we for sure get this match-up in 2020 with the game taking place in New Orleans.
By now, most people know that there were rumblings about the Saints being interested in drafting Mahomes had he fallen to them at pick 11 in the 2017 NFL Draft. The Chiefs traded up, grabbed him with the tenth overall pick, and the rest is history.
New Orleans still has Drew Brees under center, who is one of the best quarterbacks of all-time. He’s signed on for two more years in New Orleans and we’ll get to see Mahomes vs Brees in 2020. This game is a surefire primetime game, but because of it being AFC vs NFC, Monday night might be a better fit for it.

The Kansas City Chiefs have a lot of great games on the agenda this year, but these are five match-ups that need to have a primetime setting. There are four different primetime games now with the most famous being Sunday Night Football.
Monday night games are usually not as enticing match-ups and Thursday night typically pits two divisional foes against each other. Sunday afternoon games are usually the best game of the week if that game doesn’t fall on Sunday night.
The Patriots would have been included on here, but with Brady off to Tampa, Jarrett Stidham vs Patrick Mahomes doesn’t have quite the same ring to it.
