Lastly, there are the divisional games.

The Raiders will be riding off an emotional high from relocating and that might be worth a few victories, but how can you not believe the Chiefs become five time AFC west champs?

More from Kansas City Chiefs

The Raiders might have gone from the Oakland to Las Vegas, but they are still the Raiders and the Chiefs shouldn’t have a problem with them, especially if Derek Carr is still there (2-10 against KC in his career). That being said, at least one of these Chiefs/Raiders games deserves primetime, simply to showcase the glitz and glamour of the new Vegas stadium.

The Broncos seem to be set on Drew Lock as their quarterback and that is the best choice with where the Broncos are. Their defense was serviceable last year and they were actually in most of their games, they just had bad luck hit them in the final seconds time and time again.

As for the Chargers, a loaded roster could give the Chiefs some headaches, and not being able to count on Philip Rivers for four picks and a tantrum every game will change the look of those Chiefs/Chargers games. It is hard to say with any certainty right now how this rivalry could look because we don’t know who the Chargers quarterback will be, but their defense is still very good and they have a lot of good weapons out there in Los Angeles and that’s worth mentioning.

Next. Five Chiefs to cut in 2020 offseason. dark

In conclusion, while I see a few possible pitfalls and trap games for the Chiefs, I am actually quite pleased by this schedule. It is not an incredibly easy schedule, but there is not a single game on it that is not very winnable for this version of the Kansas City Chiefs, and it makes me want to believe that there is no reason why a return trip to the Super Bowl is not well within the Chiefs’ grasp.
