When looking at the NFC South portion of the schedule, the first game that looks pretty interesting will be Chiefs/Panthers at Arrowhead.

Assuming that Cam Newton is the quarterback in Carolina by the time this game is played, it should be very entertaining watching a revamped Chiefs defense go up against Newton and Christian McCaffrey, who is one of the best running backs in the league.

When I look at the Chiefs traveling to Tampa Bay, all I can think of is Jameis Winston’s 30 interceptions to 30 touchdowns from last year. Winston is the only quarterback in the league that keeps both teams in the game, and with a quarterback throwing passes up for grabs, you just know a healthy Juan Thornhill or Tyrann Mathieu is coming down with one.

The Bucs did have one of the best rushing defenses in the league last year, but have you seen the Chiefs play? They don’t really need the run to put up points. They’ll pass the ball on every play if they have to.

The Falcons coming to Arrowhead doesn’t really scare me much, but then we get to the fourth team in that division: Chiefs versus Saints in New Orleans is definitely primetime material and when dates and times are decided, this deserves to be a Sunday, Monday or Thursday night game.

Chiefs vs Saints is what most people believe Super Bowl LIII should have been and possibly what Super Bowl LV will be. All Super Bowl connotations aside, barring any injuries this will be the game to watch in 2020, as it’ll feature two of the best quarterbacks to ever sling the pigskin (Drew Brees vs Patrick Mahomes).

The Chiefs offense facing a stout Saints defense featuring the likes of Cameron Jordan, Marcus Davenport, Marshon Lattimore, and Vonn Bell won’t be easy for Mahomes and the Chiefs, especially in the raucous SuperDome. New Orleans will be out for blood this season after having rough exits from the playoffs the last three years, so expect them to bring everything they’ve got in this one.
