DARREL WILLIAMS

  • BEST PERFORMANCE: WEEK 4 VS LIONS (8 CARRIES FOR 13 YARDS, 2 TD)
  • RUNNER-UP: WEEK 11 VS CHARGERS (11 CARRIES FOR 35 YARDS)

Darrel Williams didn’t do a ton in his rookie year in 2018, but there was more optimism for him for his second pro season. He ended up getting hurt near the end of the season, but there were two games that could have been considered his best of the year.

I was torn between two performances for Williams, who never had a sensational game, but had two pretty good games. In this case, I went with the game where Williams found the end zone twice, which was in week four against Detroit. With how close that game ended up being, if one of those Williams touchdowns doesn’t happen, Kansas City doesn’t win that game.

The second best performance was in week 11 against the Chargers in Mexico City where Williams had his biggest performance yardage wise with 35 off of 11 carries. He didn’t score a touchdown though and that’s ultimately why I listed it as his second best showing.

Williams finished year two with 141 yards rushing and three touchdowns while grabbing 15 passes for 167 and a touchdown. Hopefully he can get more involved in 2020.

LESEAN MCCOY

  • BEST PERFORMANCE: WEEK 1 VS JAGUARS (10 CARRIES, 81 YARDS)
  • RUNNER-UP: WEEK 7 VS BRONCOS (12 CARRIES, 64 YARDS)

LeSean McCoy will go down as one of the biggest disappointments on the 2019 team, but hey who cares? The team won a Super Bowl!

Anyway, Shady started the year off promising, rushing for 81 yards against the Jaguars and looking like he’d be the RB1 without question. Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there, as fumbling issues eventually led to McCoy’s limited snap appearances and he was essentially benched from the end of the season throughout most of the playoffs.

McCoy’s second best performance was in week seven versus Denver where he had 64 yards off of 12 carries. He’d fail to do much else after that game and his two best games were pretty easy to choose due to the lack of production from him in 2019.

Even though the signing seemed like a good idea last summer, LeSean McCoy didn’t live up to the hype.
