DEMARCUS ROBINSON

  • BEST PERFORMANCE: WEEK 2 VS RAIDERS (6 RECEPTIONS FOR 172 YARDS, 2 TD)

Demarcus Robinson is another player who only had one awesome game in 2019, but man oh man was it a crazy game for him! We all remember week two against the Raiders where the Chiefs fell in an early hole, but then came to life in the second quarter and scored four touchdowns.

Two of those four touchdowns came via Robinson, who also grabbed six catches for 172 yards and torched the Raiders secondary all afternoon long. When D-Rob gets paid this offseason – and he will get paid – it’ll be because of his week two production against the Raiders.

If you take away those week two numbers, Robinson had just 277 yards and two touchdowns during the 2019 campaign and those just aren’t numbers that merit a big time contract. Let another team make that mistake.

MECOLE HARDMAN

  • BEST PERFORMANCE: WEEK 3 VS RAVENS (2 RECEPTIONS FOR 97 YARDS, TD)
  • RUNNER-UP: WEEK 2 VS RAIDERS (4 RECEPTIONS FOR 61 YARDS, TD)

Mecole Hardman was used more in a receiver role early in his rookie season and he had the two best performances of year one in the NFL. Week three saw him go for 97 yards off of just two receptions and a touchdown and his second best performance came in the second quarter thumping against the Raiders where he had 61 yards and a score.

I based Hardman’s best performances off of his receiving numbers, but he became a big playmaker on special teams too. He returned a kickoff for a touchdown in week 17 against the Chargers and he also had a huge return against the Texans in the Divisional Round and that came at a time when the Chiefs needed something big.

With the Chiefs likely losing a few receivers this spring, Hardman should be more involved in the offense in 2020.
