KC Chiefs who may have played final game for team in Super Bowl LIV
By Chris Clark
It’s hard to imagine some of these names not being on Kansas City’s roster next season, but the reality is that in order to sustain long-term success, the Chiefs may have to make the harder decisions this offseason.
Taking some small steps back now could very well mean taking even bigger steps forward in the future for this franchise. Thankfully, this wasn’t a Super Bowl or bust year for Kansas City and the future remains bright to repeat what they did this season.

While Brett Veach did a phenomenal job of putting just the right pieces together for a Super Bowl win, it all really started with making tough decisions last offseason. Parting ways with players like Eric Berry and Justin Houston opened up the door for players like Frank Clark and Tyrann Mathieu.
Chiefs Kingdom can trust Veach to continue making the right decisions moving forward. It’s exciting to know that Kansas City has a GM who knows how to get it done.
The intriguing part of moving forward without the names on this list is the potential for new names to come into the fold and for new talent to emerge. Going in a different direction with some of these players isn’t necessarily a bad thing and opens up the possibility for Chiefs Kingdom to find a new timeless hero.
Thankfully, Kansas City has firmly planted itself on the map as a destination for players to come and find success. There’s a lot to be optimistic about in the years to come.
This was hands down the most remarkable Chiefs’ season in five decades. These players without question helped to make that happen.
Even if they have played their final game as a Kansas City Chief, they’ve forever cemented themselves as part of a Super Bowl-winning team. Their contributions won’t be forgotten and Chiefs fans can always be thankful for them helping this team win it all in the 2019 season!
