KC Chiefs: Four things we learned in Super Bowl victory over 49ers
By Casey Adkins
Your KC Chiefs are Super Bowl Champions! When I started writing about the Chiefs in 2011, never in my wildest dreams did I think this moment would come.
I never thought that I would be doing this. After overcoming three postseason deficits of double digits, it finally happened. Faith was never lost. Here is what we learned in the Kansas City Chiefs‘ victory over the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV.
Super Bowl Champions
After 50 years, the Chiefs finally won it all. Before Sunday, the Chiefs had been the bridesmaid and today they were finally the bride.

Patrick Mahomes won the Super Bowl MVP award as he should have after those last two touchdowns. Andy Reid finally got his Lombardi Trophy that will solidify his place as one of the greatest head coaches in NFL History.
This was a special moment for the team, the organization, and the fans.
Slow Start
Another postseason game and another slow start for our Chiefs, who were trailing for most of the game and the entire team looked all out of sorts. This will bite the Chiefs in the future, but this doesn’t matter right now. A lot can happen in the offseason and nothing will be the same after this week. Theres no doubt that Reid and his staff are going to be hitting the film and figuring things out.
Andy Reid is one of the greatest NFL Coaches
If that wasn’t apparent before this game, Andy Reid will go down as one of the greatest coaches in NFL history. What he did with the Eagles and now with the Chiefs will not be forgotten.
When Reid took over as the Chiefs head coach, there was a lot of uncertainty because of how things ended for him in Philadelphia. Reid is a great offensive mind and things are just getting started. Reid got his 222nd win tonight and what a way to do it.
MVPat
If there was any doubt about who the best quarterback in the NFL is, those should be gone. Now look, Patrick Mahomes didn’t play well early on; The entire team didn’t actually, but Mahomes found a way to will this team.
Mahomes had 141 yards and two touchdowns after they were down ten points. He is playing well beyond his years and we are lucky to have him here in Kansas City. The kid never gets flustered and is always keeping everyone’s heads held high.
The best part of it all? He finally gets to go to Disney World.

Conclusions
This season was something special and won’t be forgotten. Injuries played a big part in the way the season went, but the Chiefs overcame every single one of them.
I just want to thank my readers, my editor and the rest of the KC Kingdom staff for this fantastic year.
