As similar to the AFC playoff run, the media continues to push false narratives uphill against the Kansas City Chiefs prior to Super Bowl LIV. Sorry San Francisco, you are not winning this game.

By the time Super Bowl LIV kicks off on Sunday, the national media will have you believe that the San Francisco 49ers defense is the greatest thing since sliced bread and puts the 2000 Ravens and 1985 Chicago Bears’ defense to shame.

Sorry, not happening. The Kansas City Chiefs are and should not only the favorite, but heavy favorites. I’ve thought about this game all week, and I find few ways this game is even close.

I will say, and let’s do it early, there are ways the 49ers can win the game. Yes, they can rush the passer. They are good at it. Do the Chiefs have a good offensive line? Absolutely.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

The 49ers can most definitely run the football and the Chiefs have shown, at times, a struggle against the rush. Not recently, but it’s happened before.

The only lasting concern I have with this team – Did their season peak? Did they reach their pinnacle when they hoisted the Lamar Hunt trophy?

However, here in Kansas City, we try to be smarter than the average stooge on the radio. This is for all the fools stating the 49ers have the better roster.

Yes, the Chiefs have the best player on the field on either side of the ball in elite superstar Patrick Mahomes. So yes, the best player at the best position resides with the Chiefs, but what about the second and third best player? Nick Bosa certainly deserves his place, but so do Frank Clark, Tyreek Hill, Chris Jones and Travis Kelce.

The Chiefs have four of the top five players ready to take the field on Sunday, and if we want to throw San Francisco a bone on

George Kittle

, then the Chiefs have four of the top six players in the game.

More to the point, let’s look at where the 49ers are better than the Chiefs. Obviously they are better at running back. No question. They are also better at linebacker. Again, no question. The linebackers are an area of concern and the running back position thing, as the Chiefs have seen, and shown all offseason – Yawn.

The Kansas City Chiefs certainly are a push along the offensive line and at tight end, and while there is a lot of love thrown the direction of the 49ers defensive line, the Chiefs defensive line is deep and talented and can make plays on their own. Maybe the 49ers defensive line is better, but if they are (I’m not saying it), it’s not by much.

Are the 49ers a bad team? No, of course not; Teams don’t reach this point in the season and they don’t win the number of games they did during the season without being a good team. Are they as good as the Chiefs? No, they are not.

Get excited Chiefs fans, I think our team will be bringing the Lombardi to the Midwest.

Final score, my prediction, is 42-31 Chiefs.
