Well, here we are again. The KC Chiefs have found a way to host their second straight AFC Championship game. What did Madden predict for this match-up?

Last week the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Houston Texans in miraculous comeback fashion after starting the game down 24-0. This was an amazing game to witness and Chiefs Kingdom would love to see just one more big win at Arrowhead to help bring home the Lamar Hunt trophy and send the Chiefs to the Super Bowl.

If the Chiefs intend to accomplish this feat this weekend, they CANNOT start the way they did against the Texans. If the Titans go up by more than three scores in this game, they will hand the ball off to Derrick Henry over and over again and just watch the clock run.

With the running game the Titans have, the Chiefs can’t afford to start slow or get down big early on. Even if you look back at last year’s AFC Championship Game, it could be argued that Kansas City’s slow start was ultimately their undoing. Starting fast will be a big key for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs highly talented offense.

The Titans have improved a lot even since the week ten match-up, especially on the offensive end, turning themselves into one of the better offenses in football. Don’t be surprised if this is a high scoring game with the Chiefs looking to start fast and the Titans being one of the hottest teams in football right now. This could make for a very exciting football game.

So without further ado, let’s see what the Madden simulation is predicting for the AFC Championship game.

FINAL SCORE – TITANS 35, Chiefs 17

TITANS STATS

This is obviously not the result Chiefs Kingdom is hoping for. One thing that is almost impossible to see happening is Ryan Tannehill having a better game than Mahomes, let alone throwing for 300+ yards and five touchdowns.

I guess if the Chiefs key too much on Derrick Henry and the ground game, then Tannehill could have a big game, but just take a look at his last two games: 88 yards and two touchdowns against Baltimore and 72 yards, one touchdown, and one interception against New England.

This is not to bash Tannehill at all because he’s been great, but it’s just not been in the Titans scheme for him to have a big game and I can’t see that changing. However, the Chiefs do have to show up and make sure this doesn’t happen so I guess we can just hope and pray the Chiefs defense make Madden look crazy on that prediction.

Madden has been down on the Chiefs all season though, so it picking Kansas City to lose this week might not be the worst thing in the world honestly.

According to Madden, the KC Chiefs need to be more worried about Tannehill than Henry whom everyone in America seems to be talking about as the key to this game. We will see though.

If you are willing and able make sure you come out to Arrowhead and get loud to help will your Chiefs to a victory Sunday afternoon. It should be a fun one. Go Chiefs!
