The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the final four teams standing this season. Who did the KC Kingdom staff pick to win their championship game and advance to Super Bowl LIV?

It all comes down to this; Four teams hoping to reach the highest pinnacle a team can reach in the National Football League: the Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs are one of those four teams along with the Tennessee Titans on the AFC side and then the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers on the NFC side of things.

The KC Kingdom staff have submitted their picks and have their Super Bowl contenders chosen. Last week, everyone went 3-1 except for Cullen, who went 2-2. Everyone missed on the Ravens/Titans game and Cullen also missed on the 49ers/Vikings game.

With only two games to predict this week, let’s get right to it!

CHIEFS VS TITANS (AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME)

  • Chris – Chiefs 27, Titans 14
  • Cullen – Chiefs 33, Titans 25
  • Kole – Chiefs 38, Titans 21
  • Leigh – Chiefs 30, Titans 20

Obviously this is the game that Kansas City Chiefs fans care about the most because well – the Kansas City Chiefs are playing in it. It’s their second straight appearance in the AFC Championship Game and they’re hoping to do what they couldn’t do a year ago, which is win this game and punch their ticket to the Super Bowl.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

On the other side of the field, the Tennessee Titans are looking to do the same thing and if they were to succeed and pull off the upset, they’d be the first six seed in the playoffs to advance to the Super Bowl since the Packers did it in the 2010 season.

No one should be shocked that staff is allllll on the Chiefs in this one because after all, we are a Kansas City blog. Besides that, the Chiefs appear to be the more talented team and it took three monumental mistakes for the Titans to beat KC in week ten when these two teams met up – and even then, Kansas City only lost by three points.

There’s no doubting that this should be a fun game to watch and might have us on the edge of our seats throughout, but staff all felt pretty comfortable about the KC Chiefs’ chances to advance to Super Bowl LIV.

49ERS VS PACKERS (NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME)

  • Chris: 49ers 28, Packers 17
  • Cullen: 49ers 23, Packers 27
  • Kole: 49ers 24, Packers 28
  • Leigh: 49ers 24, Packers 20

The NFC was highly competitive this season and the two best teams to emerge when the smoke cleared were the 49ers and the Packers. This game is spicy and it’ll unlikely be the blowout it was by San Francisco back in week 12 when they completely curb stomped the Packers.

Staff split on this game, which isn’t shocking. On the one hand, you have the 49ers, who are probably the better team, but you can never count out Aaron Rodgers. He could absolutely go crazy in this game. He could also be irrelevant in it like he was back in week 12, but that seems unlikely.

Staff is all in agreement that the Kansas City Chiefs will be representing the AFC in Super Bowl LIV. Staff didn’t agree on who their opponent in the sport’s biggest game would be with half picking the 49ers to represent the NFC and the other half picking the Packers to pull off the upset on the road.

It’d be pretty cool for the NFL’s 100th season to consist of the Chiefs and Packers, who squared off in the first ever Super Bowl. It’d also be cool to see KC play the 13-3 San Francisco 49ers in what Dee Ford would have circled as a revenge game for sure.
