Coming off of a bye week, the Kansas City Chiefs will look to avenge an early-season loss to the Texans to advance to their second straight AFC Championship game.

The week six matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans featured an exciting opening quarter for Chiefs Kingdom. The Chiefs jumped out to a 17-3 lead after the first quarter, but the early momentum eventually fizzled out resulting in a 31-24 home loss for the Chiefs.

This won’t be an easy task for the Chiefs, but if they can start fast as they did in the first match-up and then keep their foot on the gas throughout the game, they should be able to take care of business.

It should also bring comfort to Chiefs Kingdom knowing that not only should the Chiefs have won the first match-up after opening up a big lead, but they had multiple key players inactive for that game who are now healthy – Not to mention how much the defense has improved since then.

To add to this report, Patrick Mahomes was hobbling around on a hurt ankle and Tyreek Hill only played around 50 percent of the snaps in his return from an early-season injury as well. This is not the same Chiefs team that played the Texans in week six.

This far from guarantees a win, however, so let’s take a look at the Madden simulation predicts for Chiefs vs Texans round two.

A few key takeaways from this sim would be, first off, a CHIEFS WIN, but also containing Hopkins and holding (or hopefully blocking not holding if we are being technical) the Texans to ZERO sacks. If the Chiefs can manage those two feats it would be hard to see the Chiefs walking away without a win.
