There’s only one regular season game remaining for the AFC West, but the Kansas City Chiefs will continue playing after this weekend.

More than likely, the Chiefs will be the lone representative of the AFC West in the playoffs. It’d be something if the Raiders could sneak into the postseason at 8-8, but Chiefs fans would definitely prefer that to happen than having to host the Titans in the Wild Card round.
While it’s obviously beneficial to the Chiefs, it’s been a disappointing season for the AFC West as a whole. The Chargers went toe-to-toe with Kansas City a year ago and will probably finish this season with just five wins to their name.
No one expected much out of the Broncos or Raiders, but both have had their moments. Had just a few things gone differently in the first few weeks of the season, Denver might have been able to make a strong push for a Wild Card spot.
The Raiders can still technically get a Wild Card spot, but this is the same team who barely beat the Bengals and was blown out by the Jets. Not good. Still, they have something to play for next weekend.
The KC Chiefs have a lot to play for too, as they could win the two-seed with a win next week and a New England loss. It doesn’t seem likely, but crazier things have happened in football!
