With the Kansas City Chiefs winning the AFC West, we don’t need to look at the standings each week anymore. They’re the best in the west and proved that with a dominating win over the Broncos.

KC has now swept Denver in each of the last four seasons and have won nine straight games against them, dating back to 2015. Andy Reid has been spectacular against the AFC West and has a chance to go a perfect 6-0 against them in week 17 when the Chiefs host the Chargers in the regular season finale.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

The division has been disappointing this year and that’s surprising after both the Chiefs and the Chargers finished at 12-4 last year and battled for the division crown throughout the season. The Chargers have been a huge letdown after that 12 win season and they’ll likely be looking for a new quarterback in 2020.

The Raiders might be looking for a new quarterback too, as it’s become clear that Derek Carr isn’t the answer for them. He had that one great season in 2016 and hasn’t lived up to the hype since then.

The only teams not looking for a quarterback next season are obviously the KC Chiefs and the Denver Broncos won’t be looking either. Drew Lock struggled in Arrowhead, but the Broncos don’t have a big enough sample size on him yet to throw him aside. They need to focus on building an offense that can put him in the best position to win; A better offensive line would be a nice start.

Back to the Chiefs, they’ve looked great over the past month of the season and now they have two more games to try and close things out strong. If they win out and the Patriots lose one more game, Kansas City can grab the two seed.

Otherwise, it’s looking like a home game over Wild Card weekend is in the cards for this squad.
