KC Chiefs: Way too early look at offensive free agents after 2019
By Chris Clark
The Kansas City Chiefs will also have free agents in other positions that they may try to retain.
Wide receiver Demarcus Robinson is set to become a free agent. Will the Chiefs try to re-sign him or let him walk like they did Chris Conley last offseason? Robinson began the season well, but seems to have fallen off after that hot start, which may decide his future with the team.

There’s also the question of whether Kansas City will keep Sammy Watkins or release him in order to create more cap space. While the wide receiver position is currently a strength for the Chiefs, they may begin looking at some free agents depending on what happens in the offseason.
Another position that may need to be addressed is that of the backup quarterback. Both Chad Henne and Matt Moore will become free agents unless either is persuaded to return. Or might the Chiefs look elsewhere to fill that spot?
Thankfully, the Chiefs are continuing to trend toward a Super Bowl-caliber team. With Mahomes at the helm, that trend will continue. This means that Kansas City is a more attractive landing spot for talented free agents looking for a chance to win the big one. With a solid organization, good coaching, and an already talented roster, Kansas City becomes a more desirable destination for top-tier free agents.
One thing that Chiefs Kingdom can always be excited about is that Brett Veach has been aggressive in building a quality roster. This offseason should be no different with the hopes to build the NFL’s next great dynasty.
In looking toward 2020, the KC Chiefs will hopefully have these free agents in mind. Outside of the ones already mentioned, what other offensive free agents should the Chiefs pursue this offseason?
