The Kansas City Chiefs took a commanding lead in the AFC West and if they defeat the Patriots next week and the Raiders lose to Tennessee, the Chiefs will be AFC West champs once again.

Beating New England on the road will be tough, but the Patriots are vulnerable this year, despite only losing two games. Hopefully the Chiefs can pull off a victory and the Titans can hand the Raiders an L so that the AFC West can be clinched in week 14.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

Let’s take a look at the standings.

  1. Kansas City Chiefs (8-4)
  2. Oakland Raiders (6-6)
  3. Denver Broncos (4-8)
  4. Los Angeles Chargers (4-8)

The Chiefs swept the season series against the Raiders, making that two straight seasons in which they’ve done so. They’ll have the Broncos at Arrowhead in two weeks and the Chargers in Kansas City in the season finale.

Hopefully next week’s edition consists of us knowing for certain who will win the AFC West, but until then, the Chiefs lead the division by two games and look to be on their way toward a fourth straight division title.
