The AFC West has become much more competitive over the last month of the season and KC Chiefs fans don’t want that to be the case.

It looked like the Kansas City Chiefs were going to run away with their fourth straight AFC West title early in the season, but that’s why the NFL regular season is four months long; A lot can happen between September and December.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

While the Chiefs are arguably still the best team in the AFC West, the Raiders have made things interesting. If they do what they’re supposed to do and beat the Jets this weekend, they’ll have the same record as Kansas City and will face them the following week in a critical game.

The Chargers and Broncos are all but out of it. While not mathematically eliminated, they’d both have to win out and considering they play each other in week 13, that’s probably not possible.

It’s more of a disappointing season for the Chargers than it is the Broncos because LA went to the playoffs last year and housed the Ravens in Baltimore. This follow-up season hasn’t been anywhere close to the team we saw last year.

There’s still six more weeks of NFL games taking place and that means we still have a lot more to learn about the AFC West before it’s all said and done.
