It seemed like a foregone conclusion that the KC Chiefs would run away with the division to start the year, but that’s not the case now at all.

After a disgusting loss to the Titans, Kansas City has little margin for error moving forward. They have a tough schedule to close out the year while Oakland’s games are much easier. A fourth straight division title might not be in the cards for the Chiefs and at this point, it wouldn’t shock me if that ended up not happening.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

The Broncos had the week off, but will travel to Minnesota to play the Vikings in what should be a difficult game for them. Denver did have that big win over the Browns prior to their bye week, but the Vikings are undoubtedly the better team between the two. Then again, that doesn’t tend to matter much in the NFL, now does it?

The Chiefs have the head-to-head over the Raiders from their week two game, but that doesn’t mean squat moving forward if Kansas City can’t start playing better football. Mahomes is back, so there’s no reason this team should be stumbling in the last minute and a half of a game. Inexcusable.

We’ll have all four teams back on the gridiron next week, with two of them playing on Monday night. Will the AFC West standings look different this time next week?
