There’s no shame losing to a team like the Texans. They’re a good football team and we all knew they’d make a game out of this. The issue is that the Chiefs haven’t lived up to their end of the hype.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City had every chance to be 6-0 right now, but these last three weeks have been troubling to say the least. They should have honestly left Detroit with a loss, but escaped with a victory there. The Chiefs haven’t been so fortunate since that game, being handed back-to-back losses by two AFC South squads.

Next up is Kansas City’s second AFC West match-up of the season; a Thursday night affair against the Broncos is on tap for week seven. The Broncos are lousy, but this game is on the road in a short week and the Chiefs are depleted with injuries. It could be a much closer game than people will think.

Being 4-2 isn’t the end of the world, but it’s disheartening for a team with Super Bowl hopes to look this flat for several weeks in a row now. After the Broncos game, this team will have over a week to rest up and hopefully get healthy for week eight and beyond.

It’s been a rough two games, but this team will bounce back. They don’t have much time to think about this one because the Broncos game is three days away. Win that one and the confidence should be back.
