These three positions aren’t the only ones that could be potentially upgraded.

There has been an undercurrent of rumors recently that Kansas City was in the mix to try and trade for Jaguars’ cornerback, Jalen Ramsey. At this point, it seems like those rumors have simmered down.

With an overhauled defense that is still working to find chemistry, it’s hard to tell if that position still needs help or if they’ll find their way as the season progresses.

The good news for Kansas City is that while the injury bug has hit, it appears as though these players will be getting healthy (and rested) in time for the push to the playoffs. The biggest concern right now is that these injuries could hinder the Chiefs from winning games in the middle stretch of the season.

That’s why an attempt to make a deal or two before the trade deadline makes sense.

Thankfully, Brett Veach is an aggressive GM and will take the chance to help this team win right now. At the same time, though, he also doesn’t give away the future. The chance to win a Super Bowl before paying Mahomes handsomely would certainly bode well for his work as a GM.

With the trade deadline only a few weeks away, there’s also the possibility that the Chiefs don’t make an acquisition at all. Instead, hopefully, the team will make a move or two that will upgrade a few positions that are currently in need.

If you were in Veach’s shoes, what move would you try and make before October 29th?
