After a poor showing in week five, the KC Chiefs will stay home for a noon game time against a tough Houston Texans team. What should Chiefs Kingdom be watching for in this match-up?

During week five, Kansas City Chiefs fans got their first taste of poor play; A team that had scored no less than 26 points since the 2017 season was held to just 13 against the Colts, and on Sunday Night Football in primetime for all of the nation to see.

For most cases, after a Chiefs victory or loss, the finger can be pointed straight to the defensive side of the ball for flaws, but this time the blame can be pointed in both directions. The Chiefs offense failed to produce and put numbers on the board like previous games.

While Patrick Mahomes still continued to flash his unmatched skills, it wasn’t enough to give the Chiefs win number five on the season. The running game was once again non-existent, players were running east and west instead of north and south, a turnover played as a large momentum changer in a game where KC could not afford, and the offensive line was being pushed backwards play after play.

Simply put – It wasn’t the Chiefs’ night. Teams lose games, even good teams. It happens.

With injuries mounting on both offense and defense, the KC Chiefs have a lot of obstacles to overcome moving into week six. Going up against a talented Houston team coming off of a high scoring affair against the Atlanta Falcons, the Chiefs will have their hands full.

Here are some things we can look for in this week’s match-up.
