It’ll be an interesting offseason for the Kansas City Royals and their fans.

We’re used to busy offseasons, but this one will have a different feel to it, as the Royals haven’t had to look for a new manager in nearly a decade. Who they hire will determine how this impending rebuild turns out and it’s something the Royals can’t miss on.

More from Kansas City Royals

Kansas City will have some tough decisions to make when it comes to what players to extend and to potentially trade as well. Obviously Whit Merrifield stands out as a potential player to be traded, but can they get a good package of prospects in exchange for the soon-to-be 31 year old? That remains to be seen.

Also – Will the Royals opt to extend Jorge Soler sooner rather than later? The former Cubs outfielder sure showed that he can be a dangerous hitter this year, crushing 48 bombs, the most in Royals history, and the most in the American League this past season. Yes, even more than any member of the Yankees. Crazy.
