Kansas City Chiefs: First quarter report card for 2019
By Cullen Jekel
There you have it: my individual grades for numerous Kansas City Chiefs and four coaches.
On the whole, this team is clicking, and we can expect them to improve. It will be nice with guys like Damien Williams, Eric Fisher, and Tyreek Hill return from injuries. Each of them will help their position group improve.

The offensive line has played better this season than I anticipated before the season began, especially considering Fisher going down. Erving may not play up to his first-round status, but he’s providing very solid play while plugging that hole.
As expected, the defense is improved from last year and yet it still needs improvement, especially at the linebacker position. Wilson has excelled, but he’s about it.
The wide receiving corps seems to be lagging a bit three weeks out from Hill’s injury. When he returns, this group will once again be dynamic. Robinson and Watkins lack consistency while Hardman is just getting his feet wet. I look forward to watching him and Mahomes connect for years to come.
Let me know how you’d grade these guys in the comments.
