The KC Chiefs have a two-game lead over the Chargers and Raiders, and will need to continue building on that lead.

Are the Raiders good? Are the Chargers better than their record? Are the Broncos really this bad? We’re not entirely sure of the answers to these questions quite yet, but one thing is for sure and that’s that the Kansas City Chiefs are still the team to beat in the AFC West.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

There will be one AFC West match-up next week, as the Chargers host the winless Broncos in the late window of games. That’ll result in either the Broncos continuing to lose and sitting at 0-5 or the Chargers staring at a 2-3 record through five weeks. Chiefs fans need to root for Denver in that one because even though the Chargers don’t look like the same team last year, they have players that can deal KC fits.

As for the Raiders, I’m not sure what to think of them. Carr is going to have to do better than 189 yards passing against that ferocious Bears defense in jolly ol’ London next week, that’s for sure. But they might be facing Chase Daniel rather than Mitchell Trubisky, though not sure that’s a step down for Chicago at quarterback honestly.

The Chiefs are in primetime next Sunday night against the Colts, who have surprised this season without Andrew Luck. They put up a stinker against Oakland, but can they come into Arrowhead and run all over the Chiefs? We’ll find out next week.
