College Game Day coming to Lincoln is exciting, no doubt, but hopefully all of this hype isn’t for naught.

More from Nebraska Cornhuskers

Simply put – Ohio State is the better team here and while it’d be great to see Nebraska hang with them, and even beat them, I’m not going to get my hopes up too much.

Yes, these two went toe-to-toe in Columbus last year, but that was a very different Buckeyes team then. Dwayne Haskins was still the quarterback and he can’t do nearly as much as Fields can, as the new OSU quarterback is elusive in both the passing game and running game.

Martinez needs to have the best game of his career, the Blackshirts need to play the best they have all season, and the run game can’t disappear like it has against bigger opponents in the past.

Hopefully the Cornhuskers can make a game of this and the crowd will be able to stay energized and be a part of the game throughout, but it’s going to be the toughest battle Nebraska has had all season, and might end up being their toughest game of the year.
