Minkah Fitzpatrick is perfect fit for Kansas City Chiefs
By Kole Berrey
Conclusion
I have been clamoring all offseason for the Kansas City Chiefs to make a move at corner. I actually like the talent we have, but depth is a major concern right now for this team. That is why adding a guy like Fitzpatrick is a smart move. He can provide an upgrade to the starting unit from his overall talent and he can add depth from his versatility.

If the Dolphins really are open to trading Fitzpatrick, I can’t imagine a situation where Brett Veach doesn’t at least make a call. Because of the fit into the defensive scheme and Veach’s vision of the future for this team, I really don’t think he ends up in any where other than Kansas City.
Veach has been known to “overpay” for his guys. Giving Sammy Watkins a huge contract was seen as a mistake by many. Ditto with the Anthony Hitchens signing. Since then, Veach has been able to make a number of high quality signings and trades without mortgaging the entire future or getting the Chiefs into cap hell a la the Dorsey days.
Trading for Fitzpatrick is exactly the kind of move that wins general managers Executive of the Year awards. It also may be the type of move to push a franchise to winning its first Lombardi since the Len Dawson days.
If there is smoke to these rumors, expect Veach to provide the fire. Fitzpatrick will either be a Dolphin or a Chief this year. Book it.
