5. No roster clarity was gained during the fourth preseason game

If you thought you had the 53-man roster down pat and predicted, you don’t. There are still multiple positions with a bunch of question marks and it will be hard for anyone to predict how the Chiefs will proceed with roster cuts.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

Wide receiver is a big question still, running back, tight end, cornerback, and even who will make the last few spots on the offensive and defensive line are still question marks as well.

Will Cody Thompson make the 53-man roster? What about Byron Pringle and De’Anthony Thomas? Will Carlos Hyde make the roster or will he be cut? What about a trade, could that be in the works? And what about running back convert Tremon Smith?

Does Fortson have a legit shot at the active roster? How will the back end of the cornerback depth chart shake out? And what about the offensive and defensive lines? So many questions still need to be answered which should make for an interesting few days as a Chiefs fan.

So stay tuned over the next few days as cuts start happening to keep up with how the 53-man roster is shaping out. Just eight more days until the KC Chiefs open up their 2019 NFL season.

The offseason days are dwindling, Chiefs Kingdom. Go Chiefs!
