FANTASY FOOTBALL ROOKIES TO TARGET IN 2019

NUMBER 14 – HAKEEM BUTLER, WIDE RECEIVER (CARDINALS)

The Cardinals made it a point to revamp their offense this year after posting the worst record in 2018 (a large part of that being due to their poor offensive efforts) and they had a great value pick with Hakeem Butler in the fourth round.

Butler played his college ball at Iowa State, where he really upped the ante in 2018 as a senior. During his final year with the Cyclones, Butler caught 60 passes for 1,318 yards and nine touchdowns.

The biggest issue for Butler in Arizona will be:

  1. He has a rookie quarterback throwing to him (more on that later).
  2. There are a lot of other receivers in Arizona this season, especially young ones trying to prove themselves (more on this later as well).

Larry Fitzgerald is also returning for what could be his final season (we’ve been saying that for years now it feels like), which means Butler won’t be the go-to guy by any means.

Hakeem Butler is a late round target and could be the type of player who has breakout games one week and does next to nothing the following week. Ahhh rookies in fantasy football. Gotta love ’em.
