NUMBER 1 – NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

There’s not much that needs to be said. The Patriots still have Tom Brady and that is all they need. Brady somehow looks younger today than he did in his rookie season.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

Wavy hair aside, he seems to be on the decline, and they do not have many receivers you can name. Gronk is technically retired, but they are still New England. The road to the Super Bowl will seemingly always run through Bill Belichick and the torch has not been passed quite yet to Mahomes from Brady.

Gronkowski will inevitably return about around week nine or ten after a nice rest and he will have fooled no one. All roads lead to the Patriots once again this year and what’s crushing to Kansas City fans is this might be Brady’s best defense to work with in years.

Stephon Gilmore is arguably the best corner in football and their secondary is incredibly deep, which could limit the Chiefs potent offense similar to the AFC championship last year.

CONCLUSION

While the Kansas City Chiefs are one of the favorites to come out of the AFC this season, it won’t be handed to them. These teams will be Kansas City’s toughest competition and I didn’t even mention the Steelers, who seem to have been forgotten in all of the Cleveland Browns hype. That’s probably just what the Steelers want and they’re still a dangerous team.

Who do you think will be the Chiefs’ biggest competition when January rolls around?
