NUMBER 3 – LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

Speaking of Melvin Gordon, it seems like his holdout is of the Le’Veon Bell type. If Gordon does indeed sit out the year, which seems unlikely considering he’s already 27, the Chiefs will thank their lucky stars.

However, if Gordon decides to lace’em up, the Chargers will be much more dangerous. But, Gordon is not worth Bell-money and Austin Ekler and Justin Jackson can definitely fill the void. The Chargers are not going to pay him, and they may even get a contract-year performance out of Gordon, a win-win.

Los Angeles is going to be very well-balanced this year and we could see jumps from receiver Mike Williams, safety Derwin James, and a breakout from formerly injured tight end Hunter Henry.

If the bricks fall where they may and the Brinks truck stay away from Gordon, the Chargers could find themselves on top of the AFC West and possibly the AFC with one of the best all-around rosters in the league.
