Kansas City Chiefs: Biggests threats in the AFC in 2019

NUMBER 4 – HOUSTON TEXANS
The Houston Texans will be healthy this year. The Houston Texans will be healthy this year. The Houston…you get it.
We can try to speak this into existence, but Houston has been snake-bitten in the years with Deshaun Watson at the helm. It’s a shame too because Watson is a stud. Wouldn’t it be something if the Texans traded for Melvin Gordon? That could make the Texans elite this year.
Pipe dreams aside, or pipe nightmares for Chiefs fans, the Texans will be extremely talented this season. The receiving corps is littered with upside and the defense will be as advertised. The Chiefs haven’t had a problem with them in past years, but the Texans could be a few lucky breaks away from hosting a playoff game once again. They will go as far as Watson will take them, which could mean a deep playoff run in the near future.
Though Houston may not scare many Chiefs fans, they’ve only witnessed a far cry of the team in the past. The addition of Duke Johnson should really be a nice boost to a mediocre backfield. If J.J. Watt, DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller, and Jadeveon Clowney can stay healthy and perform at the level they are capable of, they could be a tad under-the-radar.
Those are big if’s however.
