When it comes to preseason football, the level of play isn’t all that exciting, but watching players we don’t typically get to see can be fun.

Some of the players on this list probably will see playing time in 2019. In fact, most of them have a good shot to make the 53-man roster and see the field this year except for Chase Litton.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

The reason I’m excited to watch Litton is to see if he’s better than Chad Henne. He’s a cheaper option than Henne, so it wouldn’t be crazy to think if Litton goes out there and performs at a high level, that the KC Chiefs would consider parting ways with Henne.

The other five could definitely all make the team and see significant playing time in 2019.

Darwin Thompson is the one I’m most excited to watch though due to his versatility. The Chiefs probably won’t go crazy on offense as to preserve some stuff for the regular season, but Reid will definitely have him catching passes. He LOVES to have running backs who can catch passes.

Byron Pringle is another player I’m excited to watch. He showed what he had to offer last year, but an unfortunate injury kept him off the 53-man roster in 2019. Hopefully he brings that juice to the field on Saturday and can stay healthy this preseason.
