NICK ALLEGRETTI, G (R7:P216)

Nick Allegretti was the sixth pick for the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2019 NFL Draft. Allegretti is a physical offensive lineman out of Illinois. Standing at 6’ 4” 310 pounds, he will serve as an interior lineman for the Chiefs and most likely play out his first season as depth player and next man up. Look for Allegretti to land a back up role or on the practice squad this season.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

Allegretti will need to earn the trust of Coach Reid and the rest of the team before he gets a chance to step in and put in real minutes for the Chiefs. As far as stats go, you can’t really put numbers on linemen, as you just have to observe their play and just know that what they do can’t go on paper other than the negatives (Sacks Allowed, QB Pressures, etc…)

Summary

With the Kansas City Chiefs closing out the 2019 NFL Draft, they were looking for players who could step into a team and help out in one way or another.

Knowing they are just a couple of key pieces away from making it to the Super Bowl, these guys will help this team get better and move towards that ultimate goal. Each guy is one snap or rep away from being the next player to make a name for themselves.
