The Kansas City Chiefs’ 2019 NFL Draft has now come and gone. This year’s draft produced six new Chiefs who will look to begin their careers by doing whatever they can to aid the Chiefs in their Super Bowl pursuit.

So what can each of these new Kansas City Chiefs provide in 2019? Let’s take a look. First, here is a recap of the Chiefs’ 2019 NFL draft.

The Chiefs didn’t have a first-round pick after sending it to the Seahawks in a package for Frank Clark, so Chiefs fans had to wait until late into the second round for the Chiefs to make their first selection. The Chiefs traded up 5 spots, sending their 167th overall selection to the Rams, to select Georgia wide receiver, Mecole Hardman.

With their second pick in the second round, the Chiefs took Juan Thornhill, a safety from Virginia, with the 63rd overall selection. The next pick for the Chiefs came in the third round at number 84 overall where they selected Khalen Saunders, a defensive tackle from Western Illinois.

After this pick, the Chiefs had to wait deep into day three of the draft to make their next selection. They had two picks at the end of the sixth round at 201 and 214 overall and one at the beginning of the seventh round at 216 overall. With these picks the Chiefs took cornerback Rashad Fenton, running back Darwin Thompson, and center Nick Allegretti respectively.

So what should Chiefs fans expect from each of these players? Let’s take a look at what the newest Chiefs can provide in 2019.
