RANKING EVERY FIRST ROUND PICK IN CHIEFS HISTORY

NUMBER 54 – TREZELLE JENKINS

The Chiefs drafted Trezelle Jenkins 31st overall in the 1995 NFL Draft. Jenkins was a star tackle during his time at Michigan, but that didn’t translate to the pros. He spent three years with the Chiefs and in the NFL. 1997 was his final season in the league.

NUMBER 53 – GENE TROSCH

Gene Trosch was the Chiefs’ first round pick in the 1967 NFL Draft. He attended Miami (FL) and the Chiefs took him 24th overall. Despite the first round selection, Trosch wouldn’t do much during his pro career. He spent just two seasons with the franchise and was out of the league after 1969.

He did win a Super Bowl, however, so he still got more out of his career than some long-term players do. Take that for what it’s worth.

NUMBER 52 – BRIAN JOZWIAK

The Chiefs spent the seventh overall pick on Brian Jozwiak in the 1986 NFL Draft and the offensive lineman out of West Virginia only spent three years in the NFL. All three of those years were with the Chiefs.

**These three could have been put in any order honestly, but since they didn’t spend more than three years in the pros, they’re the three worst picks the Chiefs have made.**
