The re-match we all have been waiting for since that coin flip decided the fate of the AFC Championship game. Tom Brady went on to win his sixth Superbowl title and Chiefs fans were left to wonder what if Dee Ford wasn’t offsides? What if KC would’ve won that coin toss?

More from Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs having to travel to Foxboro in December won’t be an easy task, but this is what the NFL is all about. If everything stays the course, this game could be for the top spot in the AFC Playoffs. Mahomes vs. Brady has quickly become the NFL’s new favorite rivalry and why shouldn’t it be?

Mahomes put on a show up there last season, throwing four second half touchdowns and leading his team back from the dead. In the end, Brady won both games because the Chiefs defense couldn’t come up with a stop at pivotal moments in either game.

Insert the hire of new defensive coordinator, Steve Spagnuolo, an old Andy Reid guy and coach who schemed up one of the best plans in Super Bowl XLII, against Brady and his undefeated Patriots.

There are a ton of story lines up and down this game but it comes down to old vs. young and can the Chiefs get over the hump and take that crown? We shall find out this December.
