Kansas City Chiefs: Six defensive trade targets, Part Two

And that’s the thing–this process has only just begun. Veach and head coach Andy Reid have a lot more work ahead of them to “fix” the defense that went into great disrepair under Bob Sutton.
But: so far, so good.
Of course, expect even more changes before now and May 1. Hopefully there will be same trades mixed in with some shrewd draft decisions. As a fan, I’m pining for a trade–a smart trade, not necessarily a blockbuster. One that helps the team without setting it back financially or regarding assets.
All of the players named in this article and Part One would improve the Chiefs defense. But if the cost is too great, then of course the Chiefs should–and will–pass.
Still, if the Chiefs can reach an agreement to acquire a cornerback, defensive tackle, outside linebacker, or inside linebacker, that would be huge. That would be a major step forward to bringing the Lombardi Trophy back to Kansas City for only the second time.
