LEXINGTON LEGENDS (A)

The Lexington Legends are looking to defend their title from a season ago, and they’ve got the roster to do just that. They have five of the Royals top 30 prospects, including two pitchers who the franchise drafted last year in Jonathan Bowlan and Kris Bubic. Austin Cox is another impressive name to keep an eye on.

Bowlan posted a 6.94 ERA in 35 innings pitched, Bubic had a 4.03 ERA in 38 innings pitched last year, and Cox threw 33.1 innings with an ERA of 3.78 for Burlington. Bowlan and Bubic were both with Idaho Falls in 2018 after the Royals drafted them in the first two rounds.

Jeison Guzman is a 20-year old shortstop and third baseman, who batted .254 last year between three different teams. He spent most of 2018 at shortstop, but can play third base, which is noteworthy, especially for the Royals.

Michael Gigliotti is a 23 year old center fielder, who saw limited action last year in the minors. When healthy, the guy can rake at the plate, as indicated by his .320/.420/.456 slash line in 2017 with two different teams. Last season, he had just 24 plate appearances and batted .235.
