Kansas City Chiefs: Five games most likely to be in primetime in 2019
We’re still not entirely sure of when the 2019 schedule will be announced, but these five opponents seem the likeliest candidates to be primetime opponents for Kansas City.
The Patriots are the easiest choice because the two teams met in the AFC Championship Game and it went to overtime. Plus, the last three Chiefs/Patriots games have been really exciting! It’s a no brainer to put in primetime.

The Chargers are another easy pick because the two are in the same division. Their last match-up went down to the wire and LA won it in the final seconds at Arrowhead. A similar game would likely result if the two were put in primetime again.
Chicago makes sense because Matt Nagy used to be with the Chiefs and his Bears are actually fun to watch now. The game being at Soldier Field makes this nearly a shoe-in to be a primetime game of some sort, with my guess being on Sunday night.
Ravens vs Chiefs was a fun one last year, with rookie Lamar Jackson giving the Chiefs all they could handle. The Baltimore defense gave Mahomes fits and were it not for a few freak plays, the Ravens would have left Arrowhead with a victory. That’s why this has to be in consideration for a primetime spot.
Green Bay is only on the list because it’s Green Bay. It’d be Aaron Rodgers vs Patrick Mahomes and who wouldn’t want to watch that?
