POTENTIAL PRIMETIME GAMES IN 2019

NUMBER 3 – CHICAGO BEARS

The Bears wouldn’t have made this list a year ago, but they a playoff team a year ago and a fun one at that. Were it not for the infamous “doink doink” field goal at the end of the game, Chicago would have been moving onto the Divisional Round.

The Bears being a sneaky good team last year is reason enough for them and the Chiefs to play under the lights, but there’s a coaching connection here as well. Former Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy is now the head coach of the Bears and in his first year at the helm, led them to an NFC North title.

Chiefs fans didn’t want to see Nagy leave and after watching his magic rub off on Mitchell Trubisky, we know why. Imagine Mahomes’ production with both Reid AND Nagy last year. He’d have thrown for even more touchdowns!

Chiefs vs Bears just screams “Sunday Night Football” to me for the reasons I’ve listed above. It also helps its cause that the game would be at Soldier Field and not at Arrowhead. Chicago is a big market and this game would put eyeballs on the TV for sure.
