SPORTING KC PLAYERS TO WATCH IN 2019 – DANIEL SALLOI

Daniel Salloi put on a brilliant show in a 2018 breakout season, leading the team with 16 goals across all competitions and adding seven assists on top of that as well.

The predominant question surrounding the homegrown forward at the entry point of this season is if he will be able to replicate his stellar performance of last season.

Salloi has been bogged down by injuries during the preseason and beginning of this regular season, and he will certainly compete with Gerso Fernandes for the starting spot. However, I remain confident that Salloi will bounce back and play a big role in the team’s scoring; Salloi teamed up with Krisztian Nemeth and Johnny Russell on the attacking half of the pitch will be quite the force to be reckoned with.

Salloi’s contract is expiring this year, but he does have a two-year club option attached to it; I’d be willing to bet that if all goes well this season, Sporting will be picking up the two-year option.
